Size Guide – How We Measure

How We Measure

We want you to feel confident about your size before you order. This guide explains exactly how our garments are measured and how you can compare those numbers with your own body to find your best fit.

What Is a Flat-Garment Measurement?

All of our sizes are based on flat-garment measurements. This means we lay each garment on a flat surface, smooth it out without stretching it, and measure it in a straight line from point to point. These measurements reflect the actual dimensions of the item itself — not your body measurements.

Because a flat-garment measurement is half of the full circumference, you need to double chest, waist, and hip measurements when comparing them to your body measurements taken with a tape measure around your full body.

How We Take Each Measurement

Chest / Bust

With the garment laid flat, we measure straight across the front from armhole seam to armhole seam, just below where the sleeve meets the body. Double this number to get the full chest circumference.

Waist

We measure straight across the narrowest part of the garment while it lies flat. Double this number to compare with a body waist measurement.

Hips / Hem Width

We measure straight across the very bottom hem of the garment, flat. Double this number to compare with your hip or seat circumference.

Length (Body / Front Length)

We measure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the collar seam) straight down to the bottom hem. This is a single measurement — no doubling needed.

Sleeve Length

We measure from the shoulder seam (where the sleeve joins the body) to the end of the cuff. This is a single measurement — no doubling needed.

Shoulder Width

We measure straight across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. This is a single measurement — no doubling needed.

Inseam (Bottoms)

We measure from the crotch seam straight down to the bottom hem of one leg while the garment is laid flat. This is a single measurement — no doubling needed.

Rise (Bottoms)

This measurement determines low-rise, high-rise, mid-rise waists. This tells you how high the waist of the bottoms fit. The measurement is taken from where all seams meet in the crotch to the top of the waist seam.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft measuring tape.(Like the free one we send you with your first order!) Stand relaxed (not sucking in!) and measure directly against your body or over lightweight clothing. Or find your favourite fitting item and measure it like we explained above.

  • Chest / Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor.
  • Waist: Wrap the tape around your natural waistline — typically the narrowest part of your torso, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping it parallel to the floor.
  • Inseam: Measure from the crotch down to your ankle along the inner leg.

Comparing Your Measurements to Ours

  1. Find the flat-garment measurement listed on the product page (e.g., Chest: 52 cm).
  2. Double it to get the full circumference (52 cm × 2 = 104 cm).
  3. Compare that number with your own body measurement.
  4. For a comfortable regular fit, look for a garment whose doubled chest measurement is 5–10 cm larger than your body measurement. For a relaxed or oversized fit, allow more room.

Note: This guide explains our general measurement method only. Item-specific measurements and size charts are listed directly on each product page.
